Green Card Update
The EU announced on 30th June the decision to waive the requirement for drivers from the UK to carry a physical Green Card when entering the EU, and this will come fully into force on 2nd September.
The UK will be part of the "Free Circulation Area", and a list of the countries that are a party to this is below. There is a small number of non-EU European countries which are not a party to the agreement and these are also noted below.
Although a Green Card will no longer be required for travelling within the "Free Circulation Area" motorists should still carry their Certificate of Motor Insurance as evidence that they have cover.
